CHANDRAYAN – 3
India's third lunar exploration mission, Chandrayan-3, has made an important impact on the field's history. The first nation to set foot on the moon's south pole was India. On July 14, 2023, it was launched from Sriharikota. Observing Chandrayan-3 land on the moon was an important event for everyone on the planet. When it finally touched the moon's surface on August 23, 2023, everyone laughed. Before this, ISRO made two more attempts, neither of which was completely successful. Chandrayan-3 is made up of the same lander and rover as Chandrayan-2, named Vikram and Pragyan, respectively. It does not, however, have an orbiter as it sends and gets using Chandrarayan-2's orbiter. Both the lander and the rover are made to survive the dangerous lunar environment. This mission's primary goal is to investigate the mineral composition of the moon's atmosphere. Additionally, it will investigate the chances of water on the lunar surface. This follow-up mission has the lowest cost when compared to missions in other countries, coming in at about INR 615 crore. India showed that they are the only nation to have successfully landed a Chandrarayan on the moon's south pole, in spite of the fact that the landing took nearly a month. It is surely India's most prestigious glory. It stays on to run and send information to the ISRO scientists. The ISRO will set new records in space research as a result of this success.
